Escape from the city crowds and join us on a amazing tour to the island of Chalki and Alimia! Here the nature has created a unique island location that provides perfect protection to sailors and an opportunity to discover untouched beaches with amazing landscapes.
Swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear blue sea or just catching some tan on our private boat is the way to enjoy the slow pace of life that we Greeks always talk about.
Our experience begins by picking you up from your hotel which may be in Rhodes town, Faliraki, Kolymbia, Ialysos, Ixia, or in other west coast areas of Rhodes.
The boat cruise starts from Kamiros Skala of Rhodes at 09:30am, towards Chalki island and lasts about 60 minutes. We stay on Chalki island for 1,5 hours. At 12:00 we depart from Chalki island towards to Alimia island. We will then stay on Alimia island for approximately 4.5 hours in order to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and generally relaxing under the summery sun! All these accompanied with mouthwatering aperitifs (ouzo, aperol, campari, martini) and freshly cut cheeses and delicatessen.
You will then enjoy a delicious barbecue, just prepared on the beach for you, including Greek specialties such as souvlaki, pork steak, fresh fish and/or vegetables (suitable for vegeterians). On the menu there is freshly cut Greek salad, Green salad, tzatziki, water and soft drinks. We will then cruise around the island with an opportunity to see dolphins playing around, and start our way back to Kamiros Skala as a final stop.
Our private boat tours can be adjusted according to your special wishes and needs (different destination, food variety etc). It’s also the perfect choice for private parties, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or any other special occasions.
Alimia or Alimnia is a Greek island of the Aegean Sea, located in the sea area between Rhodes and Halki, the complex of Dodecanese. The surface of the island is 7.4 square kilometres (2.9 square miles) and has a coastline of 21 kilometres (13 miles). The island had a small population until the period of the Second World War, and since then it has remained uninhabited.
In 2014, Prince Charles and Cornwall Duchess Camila had chosen to make a short holiday on the island, in the yacht of a friendly person. A year later, former Cavalier Silvio Berlusconi, through his investment group, expressed keen interest in the acquisition or long-term lease of the island. The price he was willing to pay was quite high. He intended to create a luxurious resort in Alimia with thematic tourism.
In addition to the Berlusconi group, another investment group giant asked the mayor of Halki to buy a part of the land to build luxurious maisonettes which they intended to sell them to international – and not only – celebrities as “places of retreat”. Investments have only stayed on discussion and never been agreed…
In October 2016 a part of the Belgian Tv Survival game show “The island” was hosted in Alimia.
